My Story
About me
Hi there! My name is Amma, a sound designer from London. I studied music for fifteen years, moving from classical training to music production in the last five years. The struggle of not being able to execute ideas in my head to the digital soundscape made me transition into production. Pair that with my ever-growing love for video games and I've found my passion for sound design for interactive media.
I graduated from Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2022, and Point Blank University with a Music Production & Vocal Performance degree. Between education I ensured in-studio experience, working with artists/producers and collectives. These combined have help me specialise in the neo-industrial soundscapes I specialise in today.
I am adept in sound design, using Abelton as my main DAW; from recording original samples, to sampling, to synthesis and more. I have a proficient grasp in industry-standard plugins, with extensive knowledge of audio signal processing, mixing, compression and 3D spatial audio. Having my own home studio, my experience in recording gear is vast, including field recording for more ambitious projects. The part I love most about this work is the potential of collaboration needed. Working with likeminded individuals with a shared concept betters my craft and the project itself. I value communication and a positive work ethos to further my understanding of sound design in video games.
